Which SQL dialects are supported?
The formatter targets standard SQL and works well for MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server and SQLite queries. Vendor-specific syntax is preserved as-is, just re-indented.
What does it format exactly?
Major clauses (SELECT, FROM, WHERE, GROUP BY, ORDER BY, JOIN and others) start on new lines, keywords are uppercased (optional), and comma lists in SELECT are optionally split one per line.
Are string literals changed?
No. Text inside single quotes is protected during formatting, so values like 'New York' are never re-cased or split.
Is my query sent to a server?
No. Formatting runs entirely in your browser.
