How does the replace count work?
The tool counts every occurrence replaced. With regex disabled it does a literal text search; with regex enabled it uses your pattern against the whole text.
Can I use regular expressions?
Yes. Toggle "Use regular expression" and enter a valid JS regex pattern. Use $& in the replacement to insert the matched text.
What happens with special regex characters?
When regex mode is off, characters like ., *, +, and ? are escaped automatically so they match literally.
Is my text sent anywhere?
No. Find and replace runs entirely in your browser. Your text never leaves your device.
