About Rolling Ball 3D
Rolling Ball 3D is a marble game in the sky: a shiny physics-driven ball, a course of floating platforms high above nothing, and a glowing green goal pad at the far end. You do not steer the marble directly — you apply rolling force with the arrow keys or WASD and let momentum, friction and your own restraint do the rest. It feels less like driving and more like shepherding: every platform is wide enough to be fair and narrow enough that one held key too long sends you sailing off the edge.
The course is a single hand-built route of straights, turns and gaps, with one signature obstacle: a moving yellow platform that ferries you across a wide gap, sliding back and forth on its own schedule whether or not you are ready. Six spinning gems are placed along the route — some squarely on the path, some asking for a small detour across exposed corners — worth 50 points each. Reaching a new section of the course sets a checkpoint, so a fall costs you one of your three lives and a short trip back, not the whole run.
The final score is where the game's values show. Finishing at all is the first achievement; the score then adds your gem points to a time bonus (up to 600, draining by 4 points a second) and 100 points for every life you still hold. That means the perfect run is fast, greedy and unbroken — and the scoreboard math is honest enough that a careful collector who finishes slowly can still beat a reckless sprinter who skipped the gems. Your best score is saved between sessions.
How to Play Rolling Ball 3D
Press Start Game. Your marble spawns on the start pad; the goal pad glows green at the far end of the floating course.
Roll with the arrow keys or WASD — each key applies force in that direction, building momentum. Short taps steer precisely; held keys build speed quickly. There is no brake, so counter-roll to slow down.
Follow the course through its straights and turns, and collect the spinning gems along the way: 6 in total, worth 50 points each.
At the wide gap, wait for the moving yellow platform to slide close, roll onto it, and let it carry you across — it keeps moving while you ride, so stay centred.
Reaching each new section sets a checkpoint. If you fall, you lose one of your 3 lives and respawn at the last checkpoint with your gems kept.
Land on the glowing green goal pad to finish. Your final score combines gems, a shrinking time bonus and 100 points per life remaining.

Tips & Tricks
- 💡Feather, do not hold. On the narrow sections, short alternating taps keep the marble slow and centred; holding a direction for even a second builds speed you then have to spend distance cancelling.
- 💡Roll against your momentum to brake. A deliberate push opposite your travel direction before a turn or an edge is the only brake you have — learn to start slowing down one platform earlier than feels necessary.
- 💡Let the ferry do the work. On the moving platform, make at most tiny corrections; aggressive rolling on a moving base is the classic way to slide off sideways mid-crossing.
- 💡Take the gems on your first pass through a section. Backtracking across a checkpoint boundary risks a fall for 50 points you could have collected free on the way through — the time bonus forgives a small detour far better than a lost life.
Rolling Ball 3D — Frequently Asked Questions
How is the final score calculated?+
Gems pay 50 points each (up to 300 for all six), added the moment you collect them. Finishing the course adds a time bonus of up to 600 points that drains by 4 points per second of your run, plus 100 points for each of your remaining lives. If you lose all three lives, your score is just the gems you collected.
What happens when I fall off?+
You lose one of your 3 lives and respawn at the most recent checkpoint — reaching each new section of the course sets one. Gems you already collected stay collected. Lose the third life and the run ends.
Is there a time limit?+
No hard limit — you can take as long as you like and still finish. But the finishing time bonus shrinks by 4 points every second, so dawdling costs score even though it never costs the run.
Can I play Rolling Ball 3D on mobile or fullscreen?+
Yes. The on-screen D-pad applies rolling force on touch devices (hold a direction to keep rolling), and the fullscreen button on the game frame expands the course to fill your display.
