Maze Explorer 3D
Explore a fresh first-person 3D maze and race the clock to the glowing exit portal.
Maze Explorer 3D
You are inside a fresh 13×13 maze. Race to the glowing green portal in the far corner — the minimap tracks you, but the clock is ticking.
About Maze Explorer 3D
Maze Explorer 3D puts you inside the maze instead of above it. Every run generates a brand-new 13×13 labyrinth and drops you at the gold start marker in true first person: blue-capped walls, corridors that all look alike after three turns, and a single glowing green portal in the far corner between you and escape. There is no score and no enemy — the clock is the opponent, and your best escape time is saved and shown for every subsequent run.
The maze is a 'perfect' maze, meaning there are no loops and exactly one route connects any two points — which is what makes it both fair and disorienting. Every corridor you have not tried is a real possibility, and every dead end is a genuine cul-de-sac with nothing in it but wasted seconds. The minimap beneath the stage is your one concession: it tracks your yellow dot and the green exit live, rewarding players who glance at it often and building real map sense in players who do not.
Movement is smooth rather than grid-stepped — you walk and turn continuously, strafe sideways with Q and E, and can even drag the mouse to swing your view — so the game feels like exploring a place rather than solving a diagram. Generation is instant and unlimited: no two mazes repeat, and the natural challenge progression is simply your own shrinking best time.
How to Play Maze Explorer 3D
Press Start Game. A new 13×13 maze is generated, and you spawn in first person on the gold start marker; the clock starts with the run.
Walk forward with W or Up and backward with S or Down. Turn with A/D or the Left/Right arrow keys, and strafe sideways without turning using Q and E.
You can also drag the mouse on the stage to swing your view, and use the on-screen buttons to move and turn on touch devices.
Navigate towards the far corner of the maze. The minimap under the stage shows your position as a yellow dot and the exit as a green dot — checking it regularly is the fastest way to stay oriented.
Step into the glowing green exit portal to escape. Your finish time is recorded and compared with your best time.
Press Start again for a completely new maze layout — no two runs share a maze.

Tips & Tricks
- 💡Keep one hand on the wall. In a perfect maze with no loops, following the same wall — always the right, say — guarantees you will eventually reach the exit. It is not the fastest method, but it never fails and never gets lost.
- 💡Glance at the minimap at every junction, not just when you are lost. Building a mental picture while things are going well is what stops a dead end from becoming total disorientation.
- 💡Mark dead ends mentally by their approach. If a corridor ends, note which direction you entered from on the minimap; the most common maze mistake is re-entering the same dead end from the other side twenty seconds later.
- 💡Strafe at junctions. A quick Q or E sidestep lets you look down a side corridor without committing your heading — cheaper in time than turning in, walking, and turning back.
Maze Explorer 3D — Frequently Asked Questions
Is the maze the same every time?+
No. A fresh 13×13 maze is generated at the start of every run, so memorising a layout never helps — the skill being tested is genuine navigation. Your best escape time, however, is saved and waits for you on the next visit.
How big is the maze and where is the exit?+
The maze is 13×13 cells. You start on the gold marker in one corner and the glowing green exit portal sits in the far corner; the minimap marks both, with you as the yellow dot and the exit as green.
Is there a time limit?+
No — you cannot lose Maze Explorer. The timer measures your escape and your best time is kept as the target to beat, so the challenge is self-set: finish, then finish faster.
Can I play on mobile or in fullscreen?+
Yes. On-screen buttons handle walking and turning on touch devices, and the fullscreen button on the game frame expands the first-person view to fill your display, following your device's orientation — the most immersive way to play this one.
