Click Speed Test
How many times can you click in 5 seconds? Test your CPS!
About Click Speed Test
Click speed tests — CPS, or clicks per second — became a badge of honour in gaming communities where rapid clicking decides fights in sandbox and PvP games, and "jitter" and "butterfly" clicking techniques grew up around beating them. Underneath the fun is a simple measure of finger dexterity and mouse technique that responds surprisingly well to practice.
This test lets you pick your distance: 5, 10, 15 or 30 seconds. The first click on the big button both starts the clock and counts as click number one, a progress bar drains across the top, and when time expires you get your total clicks and exact CPS. The game keeps your best click total of the session and your last five attempts, with an average CPS worked out across them — long enough durations expose the truth, because anyone can sprint for 5 seconds but holding 8 CPS for 30 is a different sport.
How to Play Click Speed Test
Choose a duration: 5s for a sprint, 10 or 15s for a balanced test, 30s for endurance.
Click the big button once to start the timer — that click counts, so keep going without pausing.
Click as fast as you possibly can until the timer bar runs out; the button shows your live click count and the seconds remaining.
When time expires, the button freezes and displays your total clicks and your CPS (clicks per second).
Press Try Again to reset for the same duration, or pick a different duration. Your best total and recent attempts are shown below.

Tips & Tricks
- 💡Relax your hand. A tense forearm fatigues in seconds; fast clicking is a small, loose oscillation of the finger driven from the knuckle, not a whole-arm hammering.
- 💡Reduce travel: hover the fingertip just above the button (or keep light contact on a touchscreen) so each click is the shortest possible movement.
- 💡Butterfly clicking — alternating index and middle finger on the same button — can nearly double a beginner's CPS, and this button registers every press.
- 💡Pace by duration: for 30-second runs, click at 90% effort for the first half so your last ten seconds do not collapse.
Click Speed Test — Frequently Asked Questions
What is a good CPS?+
Most people click 6–8 CPS with a normal technique. Reaching 10 CPS puts you in fast territory, and sustained scores above 12 CPS usually involve butterfly or jitter techniques.
How is CPS calculated?+
Simply total clicks divided by the test duration. 47 clicks in 5 seconds is 9.4 CPS. The Best Score panel tracks raw clicks, while the Avg CPS figure averages your recent attempts at the currently selected duration.
Does the first click count?+
Yes — the click that starts the timer is counted as your first click, so there is no dead time at the start of a run.
Can I play on a touchscreen?+
Yes, tapping works exactly like clicking, though a mouse usually scores higher because of its lighter switch and the way a finger can rest on it. Multi-finger tapping on touch is fair game.
